Vegetarian diets

No direct evidence has shown that vegetarian diets help reduce the risk of cancer coming back when compared to diets high in vegetables, fruits, and whole grains and low in red meats. But vegetarian diets can be good for you because they tend to be low in saturated fat and high in fiber, vitamins, and phytochemicals. These diets are in line with the American Cancer Society Nutrition Guidelines for the Prevention of Cancer.
